My paintings explore life's deeper meaning through humour, surprise, and unexpected combinations. I take ordinary objects and reveal something unusual in them — playful on the surface, but with more going on underneath. I believe there's more to everything than meets the eye, if you look closely enough. My aim is simple: to make beautiful images that make you think and make you smile. After years in book illustration, I now tell whole stories within a single image — often letting the title and the picture pull against each other, so the viewer has to look twice.
