The painting is of one of my favourite corners in my neighbourhood. Walking there one evening, I loved the soft colours of the night, with the streetlight and light from the car illuminating the trees. The branches on the bare trees turned slightly spooky with a house hiding beneath them, with shadows cast on the road and an old mossy brick wall….it was calm and peaceful, but mysteriously enchanting at the same time.

This is one of the series of paintings of Mill Hill Park sunsets. Inspired by the dramatic contrast presented by nature, have been observing sunsets there for a while, capturing the most striking ones in my paintings.
