Acrylic on linen canvas. This piece is inspired by the idea of liminal spaces. The viewer looks down a familiar supermarket aisle but with the added uncertainty of the nighttime/or closed shop setting and seemingly nobody else there. The glare from the fridge initially catches the eye with the bright fluorescent lighting and the colours of the products in the fridge. But as the viewer looks down into the darkness, it appears there may be someone… or something also browsing.
