Rain. That’s My Final Answer explores a quiet, easily overlooked moment of everyday life, an early morning pause before the working day begins. Set against the muted atmosphere of a supermarket forecourt, the painting focuses on a solitary figure checking the weather, coffee in hand, before starting his shift. Rather than grand narrative, the work is interested in stillness, routine and the quiet dignity found in ordinary lives. Painted in oils with an intentionally restrained, painterly background, the focus rests on gesture, expression and atmosphere, inviting the viewer to bring their own reading to the moment.
