Jade Pinnell creates unique cast glass sculpture that can be seen in galleries across the Uk.

 My current work explores ideas of capturing consciousness and being present in the moment. I have created a series of sculpture which represent moments of stillness and consciousness in my own life; preserving fleeting moments in glass as a reminder.

As a cast glass artist jade works with an array of different materials and mould making techniques. She creates wax and clay models which are then cast into solid glass using the kiln forming technique. Once the pieces emerge from the kiln, Jade then uses a series of ‘cold-working’ processes including grinding and polishing to finish the works.

Jade Pinnell is a cast glass artist residing in Somserset. Jade studied Decorative Arts at  Nottingham Trent University. There  she enjoyed experimenting with many materials but was captivated, in particular, by glass. Since graduating in 2010, she has trained with glass artists from the UK and around the world including Australia and New Zealand.  Jade Pinnell spent 9 years as a studio assistant and tutor at The Glass Foundry in Gloucestershire working on large scale sculpture.  Pinnell now has her own studio in Bradford on Avon where she creates her unique cast glass sculpture.
