Mixed paper collage, including recycled print material

This collage captures a moment between myself and my dog, Dougal. I enjoy constructing an image from fragments, and I like how the discrete inconsequential shapes come together to hold a complete, living moment. Using cuttings from magazines, leaflets, paper and card, I layered textures and colours to depict Dougal catching me off guard, with me giggling in response. The work reflects the warmth and spontaneity of our bond.
