My art explores moments of quiet connection - between creatures, people, and the spaces they inhabit. Working in graphite pencil, I aim to capture the subtleties of light, texture and emotion that often go unnoticed. 

Tranquil Drifter reflects the calm poise of an otter adrift water, embodying a sense of serentity and presence. A Moment Shared moves beyond realism, fading into the play of shadows and highlights to evoke the fleeting nature of intimacy; a glimpse that feels both tender and transient. 

Through each piece, I strive to invite stillness, empathy, and reflection, allowing viewers to pause and sense the quiet stories that lie beneath the surface.

Rebekah-May Reynolds is a self-taught Scottish artist specialising in expressive graphite portraiture and wildlife drawing. Her work is defined by a deep sensitivity to light, form, and texture, capturing the quiet intensity of her subjects.

Influenced by the timeless elegance of monochrome photography, Rebekah-May balances precision with atmosphere to celebrate both realism and the fleeting; allowing personality and emotion to take centre stage.

Based in Scotland, she balances her artistic practice with teaching in a primary school - a role that mirrors her patient, observant approach to drawing. Her work has been recognised by curators form Aberdeen Archives, Gallery and Museums for its "clear capacity to capture incredibly realistic wildlife portraiture".
