Recycled Vintage postcards and paper ephemera

Inspired by 18th and 19th Century Paper Peep Shows - I have created a 3D miniature world from recycled vintage postcards and paper ephemera. This piece travels only a short way back in time to the hippy movement - and is an intimate experience that can only be seen (through the viewing hole) by one person at a time.

A 3D Analogue paper collage with over 13 layers to a depth of 3cm - created from analogue recycled images sourced from old books, postcards, magazines and paper ephemera. Depicting a "Smile" factory - showing that happiness can be manufactured and created even in the darkest of times. And happiness can be found in the most mundane and everyday things. We can make our happiness... This item is bespoke framed with 99% UV protective Museum glass to help preserve the delicate paper contents.
