My practice has always centred around social observation but now as a mother of SEND children, I explore what it means to be neurodivergent, society's perceptions and my daily observations. Animals act as stand-ins for people and social dynamics within my work, which allows the title of the piece an opportunity to hint at storytelling and perspective. In this piece, I am the Mother Hen observing how my children are treated.
