Karina Korcheva is a contemporary artist based in Bath, UK.

She works primarily in printmaking, often combining drawing, collage, and print in a hybrid, process-led practice. She is drawn to printmaking because of its unpredictability and the lack of complete control inherent in the process.

Her work develops intuitively through play, repetition, and experimentation, often using simple elements such as primary colours, lines, and shapes that gradually evolve into images and associations.

Her recent practice centres on psychological self-examination and the process of “digging” into the subconscious. The work is intuitive and symbolic, created in the hope that something within it will resonate with viewers on a deeper, almost instinctive level.

Her work has recently been exhibited at the Bath Fringe Festival, marking the beginning of her public exhibition practice. One of her prints will also be exhibited at the Royal West of England Academy’s 173rd Annual Open Exhibition.
