Plein air, oil on panel summer landscape in Warwickshire. Broad, loose textured brushstrokes capture the play of light and shadow, while the composition leads the eye from the cool shade into the warmth of the open countryside. The work emphasises natural color relationships and the balance between structure and atmosphere while drawing inspiration from contemporary plein air painters such as Marc Dalessio, emphasising direct observation, natural light, and a love nature.
